Quests

Quests are how you earn ORB Credits. Every quest is claimed and reviewed inside your dashboard — there is no separate form. The same engine powers both roles: community quests pay community credits (15M pool), ambassador missions pay ambassador credits (5M pool, with your weekly streak multiplier).

Verify your account first

You must have a verified account — wallet + Discord + Telegram all linked — to claim any quest. The board is visible before that, but claim buttons stay disabled until you finish onboarding.

How a quest is verified

Each quest declares how it's checked. The dashboard shows the right action per quest — "Take quiz", "Submit", or "Claim".

VerificationWhat happensExample
AutoThe server checks an API and approves instantlyJoin Discord / Telegram (verified by bot)
QuizServer grades your answers instantly; answers are never sent to the browserDocs / product quiz
ClaimYou claim with optional proof; credited instantly (friction, not security)Visit a link, share a post
ManualGoes to the admin review queue; credited on approvalThreads, articles, videos, submissions

For manual quests you fill in a proof form defined per quest — a public link, a screenshot URL, notes — then the team reviews it and you see the result in History.

The claim → review → credit flow

1. Do the work

Complete the action — publish content, take the quiz, join the channel.

2. Claim it

Open the quest and submit. Auto/quiz/claim quests resolve instantly; manual quests enter in review.

3. Review

For manual quests the team reviews your proof. You see the status — in review / approved / rejected — and the reviewer's note.

4. Credited

Approved quests credit ORB to your balance. For ambassadors, the reward is base × your streak multiplier, applied at approval.

Recurrence — how often a quest resets

A quest's recurrence decides when it becomes available again:

RecurrenceResetsTypical use
OnceNever — one time, everFollow, join a channel, read a page
DailyEvery UTC dayDaily check-ins
WeeklyEvery ISO week (Mon–Sun, UTC)Recurring engagement, weekly content
MonthlyEvery calendar monthLarger periodic missions

Repeatable quests (daily / weekly / monthly) are flagged in the dashboard with a Repeatable badge so you can tell at a glance which ones come back each period.

Slots — quests you can do more than once per period

Some quests can be claimed multiple times within the same period. A quest with a per-period limit of N shows N slots — for example, a weekly quest with 3 slots can be submitted up to 3 times that week.

  • Each slot is reviewed independently and credited on its own.
  • The dashboard shows how many slots are approved, in review, and rejected for the current period.
  • The classic example is the ambassador Contribution quest: 3 slots per week, and the only quest that counts toward weekly activity for ambassadors.

Retries — what happens when a slot is rejected

If a manual submission is rejected, you can resubmit — but only as far as the quest's retry limit allows.

Retry settingBehavior
Unlimited (default)Resubmit as many times as you need after a rejection
Limited (N)You may resubmit up to N times after a rejection; after that the slot is closed for the period

The reviewer's rejection comment is always shown so you know what to fix before resubmitting. Quests like Contribution and Like + Retweet the weekly post are set to allow one retry.

Level unlocks — the step-by-step path

Quests can require a level. The unlock rule is strict and sequential:

A level opens only when every lower-level quest is done

A quest at required level N becomes claimable only once all quests of every level below N have an approved completion. You progress one full level at a time — you can't skip ahead. The base level is always open.

Locked quests stay visible but greyed out so you can see the path ahead. This level gate is about quest progression and is separate from the cosmetic credit levels & roles.

Weekly tasks

Quests flagged as counting for weekly activity carry a Weekly task badge. Completing enough of them each ISO week keeps your status active and grows your streak — see Streaks & Weekly Activity. A task counts toward the week it was claimed, regardless of its recurrence.

Quizzes

Quiz quests are graded instantly by the server. The questions are shown in your browser, but the correct answers never are — grading happens server-side.

First miss is free. If you fail a quiz on your first attempt you can retry immediately. After that, a cooldown applies between attempts (a brute-force brake). A failed attempt only ever returns your score — never which questions you missed.

Passing flips the quest to approved and pays its credits instantly.

History

Every credit you've ever earned appears in the History tab — not just quests:

  • Quest completions show the quest title, your submission/proof, the status, the credit breakdown (and streak multiplier for ambassadors), and the reviewer's note. Quiz entries render your submitted answers as readable question → choice text.
  • Other credit events — the signup bonus, referral rewards, streak bonuses, and admin adjustments — appear alongside them, so the feed is a complete record of every credit on your account.
