ORB Credits

ORB Credits are the absolute foundation of our community rewards system. Specifically for Season 1: Genesis Community, every single ORB token distributed as an airdrop is calculated based on these credits. They represent your contribution to the network before the ORB token exists.

How to Earn Credits​

About quizzes

You are pointed at something to read — a docs page, an article, a concept — then answer multiple-choice questions about it. Grading is server-side and the score comes back immediately. Get it wrong and you can retry after a cooldown. Questions are shuffled per attempt, so memorising positions does not help.

Quizzes unlock in order: a level's quizzes open only once every quiz below it has been passed. That progression is separate from your credit level.

How a payout is actually calculated

The streak multiplier applies first, then any flat bonus is added:

credits = round(base × multiplier) + flat bonus

So a 20-credit testnet quest at the 1.5× cap pays 30 — or 35 if you use a Substrate wallet such as Talisman, which carries a +5 bonus.

The multiplier applies to testnet quests only. Social quests pay their base value.

Two pools, and which one you are in​

Season 1 distributes 20,000,000 ORB (2% of supply), split into two pools that are never mixed:

Your credits compete only within your own pool. A community member's share is measured against 15M and the sum of all community credits — not against the full 20M.

You can hold both balances if you are an ambassador; they are tracked separately and never combined. Referral credits land in whichever pool matches the referrer's role.

The Credits Lifecycle​

From joining the whitelist to receiving tokens on Mainnet, the process is designed to be transparent and rewarding.

1. Earning (Active Now)​

Accumulate credits through quests, testnet quests, weekly streaks, and referrals. Every action increases your future share of the Season 1 airdrop.

2. The Final Snapshot (T-minus 14 Days)​

Exactly 14 days before the Mainnet Launch, all earning activities for Season 1 will stop.

  • A final audit verifies all accounts.
  • Fraudulent credits are removed.
  • The snapshot captures your final credit balance, including any multipliers.

3. Distribution at TGE​

When the Genesis block is forged, each pool is distributed to its own participants based on the final proportional calculation.

Fully Unlocked Tokens

Unlike other allocations, community airdrops are 100% unlocked at launch. Your early commitment acts as the vesting period; when Mainnet goes live, your rewards are yours to use immediately.

Allocation & Conversion​

Conversion is proportional — only your weight relative to every other member matters, not the absolute number of credits:

Your ORB = (Your credits ÷ Total credits in your pool) × Pool size

For a community member that is 15,000,000 ORB and the sum of all community credits. Ambassadors compute the same way against their own 5M pool.

Future Seasons

An additional 3% (30,000,000 ORB) is reserved for Seasons 2 and 3, focusing on post-launch network activity and long-term governance rewards.
