Quest Types
The quest board groups everything into four categories. They all pay into the same ORB Credits balance; what changes is what you do and how it gets verified.
Weekly
The recurring rhythm of the program. These quests reset every ISO week (Monday–Sunday, UTC) and are what keep your weekly activity alive.
Tasks are the social ones: follow an account, share a post, join a channel,
submit something. Some are one-off, some repeat every week, and some have
several slots per period — the card tells you which, with a label like
Weekly ×3.
Verification depends on the task. Simple ones approve automatically; anything needing a human look goes to manual review, so credits land once a reviewer approves. A rejected submission can be retried.
Refer
Your invite link. You earn when someone joins through it and fully verifies their account — wallet plus Discord, Telegram and X. A signup that never verifies pays nothing, which is what stops referral farming.
Progress is tracked automatically against your verified-referral count, and milestone quests unlock as it grows. Full rules and the payout table are in Referrals.
Learn
Quizzes. You are pointed at something to read — a docs page, an article, a concept — and then answer multiple-choice questions about it.
Grading happens server-side: your answers are checked on submission and the score comes back immediately. Get it wrong and you can retry after a cooldown (24 hours by default). Questions are shuffled per attempt, so memorising positions does not help.
On-chain
The only category that reads the blockchain rather than trusting a submission. These quests verify that you actually used the testnet privacy pool, checking four actions against the indexer:
- Shield — move funds into the privacy pool
- Private transfer — send privately inside the pool
- Unshield — move funds back out
- Selective disclosure — reveal a specific note to a specific party
You claim from the board and the backend looks up your address on-chain. Nothing to screenshot, nothing to review — either the transaction exists or it does not.
On-chain quests are the ones your on-chain streak multiplies, up to 1.5×. See Streaks & Weekly Activity.
Because verification hits the chain, repeated failed claims trip a cooldown ladder (5m → 15m → 30m → 60m → 12h) after every 5 failures. One valid claim resets it. This exists to stop claim-spamming the indexer, not to punish honest retries — complete the action first, then claim.
Step-by-step instructions for each action are in Testnet Quests.
What applies to every category
- Verification first. The board is visible before your account is verified, but every claim button stays disabled until Discord, Telegram and X are linked. See Getting Started.
- Levels gate some quests. Higher-level quests unlock as your credit balance grows — see Levels & Roles.
- Everything lands in History. Every approval, rejection and credit event is recorded in your credit history.
